Triglyceride (TG) is a kind of fat with a large content in human body. All organs and tissues of human body can use triglyceride to provide energy, and the liver can synthesize triglyceride and store it in the liver. If the triglyceride is increased, it means that the liver accumulates too much fat, which is fatty liver. Triglyceride is a kind of hyperlipidemia, and its main harm to human body is to cause atherosclerosis, blood vessel blockage and thrombosis. In addition, studies have shown that high triglycerides can also cause hypertension, gallstones, pancreatitis, Alzheimer’s disease and so on.
A recent human clinical study in Japan once again proved the benefits of NMN to human body. Through human clinical trials, the research team proved that intravenous injection of NMN is safe for human body, which can not only significantly increase the blood NAD+ level, but also significantly reduce the blood triglyceride level without damaging blood cells.
The research team recruited 10 healthy volunteers (5 males and 5 females, aged 20 ~ 70 years). After fasting for 12 hours, 300mg of NMN was dissolved in 100mL saline and injected into the volunteers through arm vein (5mL/min). Chest X-rays were taken before and after NMN injection, and the weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and blood oxygen saturation were measured. Blood and urine were collected for testing. Through the comparative analysis of a number of test results, it is found that the main markers of liver, pancreas, heart and kidney have no obvious changes, and in addition, they will not affect the main markers of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets in blood, and the participants have no adverse reactions.
It is worth noting that the level of triglyceride in blood has changed obviously. After the subjects received NMN injection for half an hour, the level of triglyceride dropped obviously, until 5 hours later, although there was a slight recovery trend, this significant difference still existed.
From preclinical animal experiments to human clinical experiments, the benefits of NMN to human body have been effectively verified. This human clinical study proves the function of NMN in reducing triglyceride, which is good news for obese and aging people.
